SAFPRO has secured a significant contract to supply the national workforce of over 4,000 employees at Speedy Hire Plc, with workwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Speedy, a leading firm for plant equipment hire, awarded the contract to SAFPRO after a recent tender bid.

Gloucester based firm, SAFPRO will supply the staff working in over 200 Speedy branches around the country with their branded clothing and PPE. In addition, SAFPRO will supply workwear, safety footwear and PPE that Speedy can sell through their retail outlets. The anticipated value of the deal is over £1m, over a two-year period.

Roy Jones, Sales Director at SAFPRO, said: “The team at Safpro are delighted to have won this contract and we are proud to be associated with a company like Speedy, who are at the top of their game.

“Speedy were looking for a workwear and PPE supplier that would help them achieve their goal of consolidating supply and reducing costs, whilst at the same time improving product quality and account management. Safpro has been able to offer a solution that achieves all these objectives,” Roy continued.

The robust corporate workwear and PPE supplied by SAFPRO will offer protective clothing for Speedy employees, who work in a variety of environments where safety is paramount, such as construction sites, workshops and railways. From ear defenders to flame retardant clothing, SAFPRO has extensive resources for equipping workers in these kinds of industrial settings.

Roy added: “We identified Speedy some time ago as a company we were compatible with, so this is a brand we have long considered having a potential great partnership with. To have signed this deal is therefore very satisfying and we are looking forward to working with Speedy, as their preferred supplier.”
