This summer the O2’s Official Safety Partner, Arco, will be helping ‘Up at The O2’ celebrate its 5th birthday.
The 90-minute climbing expedition to the peak of the world’s number one music and entertainment venue, The O2, opened in June 2012 and has seen the likes of Ant & Dec, Rudimental, Sam Smith, Pixie Lott and 30 Seconds to Mars all take part in a climb.
To mark the birthday, parties of five looking for an adventure-packed day out in the capital, will be offered a free climb for the fifth member; all while being kept safe with the help of Arco’s specially-designed equipment.
Those up for the challenge will journey across one of London’s most iconic landmarks with an experienced guide on hand to talk them through every step of the 380m walkway. Climbers can enjoy a sense of achievement when they reach the summit, which sits 52m high.
Visitors can marvel at the 360° views by booking a climb during the day, at sunset or at twilight - a mesmerising opportunity to see the city lit up by thousands of twinkling lights.
As The O2’s official Safety Partner, Arco was tasked with creating a range of bespoke climb suits, gilets, safety boots and harnesses to ensure visitor’s safety.
