Personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance will be the topic of the fourth webinar in 3M’s Safety Spotlight Webinar Series.
The science-based technology company will host the free webinar – titled PPE Compliance: Protecting Your Workers and Your Business – from 12.00 noon to 13.00 on 30 March.
3M technical expert Simon Field will explain how to ensure that once adequate and suitable PPE has been selected it is also worn properly by workers.
Simon will discuss worker input in the selection process; understanding human behaviour and the motivation for non-compliance; education and training; and tips for improving workplace compliance.
He said: “PPE is the last line of defence against many workplace hazards, so it is vital that those responsible for health and safety ensure it is being used properly.
“Not only does this protect employees against potential risks, it can also improve productivity, as workers are not constantly adjusting their PPE.”
The webinar will be relevant to a broad range of industries, and aimed at everyone from employers and health and safety managers to workers.
During and after the presentation, which will be broadcast live online, participants will be able to ask questions in real time.
